UNITED SOLO THEATRE FESTIVAL is an annual international festival for solo performances held in New York City. Through a diverse range of one-person shows, we explore and celebrate the uniqueness of the individual. From openly solicited submissions, we stage the most intriguing productions at the highly acclaimed Theatre Row in the heart of the New York City theatre district on 42nd Street. Renowned solo performers as well as new talents have opportunities in many categories (e.g. storytelling, puppetry, dance, multimedia, documentary, musical, improv, stand-up, poetry, magic, drama: tragedy or comedy).
Woody's Order! was developed in Matt Hoverman's Go Solo Workshops (www.go-solo.org) and in readings at Naked Angels Tuesdays @9, EST's First Brew, The EST Playwright Unit, All For One Salons, The New Group, EST LA Winterfest 2016 and EST LA Sunday Best.

West Coast Premiere – Woody's Order! at EST/LA (March 25 – April 22, 2017)
EST/LA Theater, 3269 Casitas Avenue, Los Angeles, California
Paul Myrvold's Theatre Notes says, “There is no overestimating the impact of this performance. Ann Talman is a brilliant, vivacious woman... with indefatigable verve and a sharp sense of comedy. Ms. Talman proves once again the value of intimate live theatre in a way that no recorded media can.... Woody’s Order is a magnum opus given a luminous tour de force performance..... It has heart, humor and a tremendous emotional payoff. To all who read this, see it while you can.”

Woody was eight when he asked his parents for a sibling the only way a bright, nonverbal, cerebral palsied boy could – he pointed to Mom's tummy and Dad's... lap. The result: Ann – an actress/ comedian torn between her Broadway career (playing Elizabeth Taylor's daughter) and being her brother's loving caregiver.
